Signs of Scams

You Have a Problem

Oftentimes, scammers will contact you and tell you that you have a problem of some sorts. This can range from owing the government money to needing to send money to a family member in need.

You Have to Hurry

Scammers create a sense of urgency to make their victims act quickly. This is so the victim doesn't have time to think about what is happening.

You Have to Pay

Many scams involve a scammer telling you that you have to pay money. In addition, they will tell the victim HOW to pay - usually with gift cards (which can't be traced).
